Student Recruiter Assistant (Part-time)- Staff Pool

Houston Community College (HCC) is an open-admission public institution of higher education. The Student Recruiter Assistant will play a vital role in developing partnerships with communities and individuals to enhance student recruitment and retention efforts.

Required

Associate's degree from an accredited college. Four (4) years of directly related experience may be substituted for degree requirements
Two (2) years of relevant experience in admissions, testing, recruitment and retention, counseling, or other related student service activities
Experience working with a diverse population
Ability to establish and maintain relationships with community agencies, and social services to identify recruitment opportunities
Willing to work flexible hours, including week-ends and evenings
Ability to work on a team with diverse individuals
Must be a self-starter and problem solver
Possess ability to handle multiple tasks at once
Excellent time management skills required

Preferred

Bilingual is an important PLUS
Knowledge of the greater Houston area and familiarity with the service area school districts, universities and colleges, preferred
