The AI Programmer will focus on creating intelligent NPC behavior, while the Networking Programmer will design and support network-ready systems for multiplayer features.

Responsibilities
Implement and refine AI for customers, staff, and enemies (goblins)
Build behavior logic using state machines, behavior trees, or similar systems
Support combat encounters, tavern raids, and daily simulation loops
Work closely with designers to tune pacing, difficulty, and player flow
Fix bugs and polish gameplay systems tied to AI behavior
Implement and maintain networked gameplay systems
Handle replication, RPCs, and authority flow
Support co-op or multiplayer features where applicable
Debug sync, latency, and connection issues
Work with gameplay and AI programmers to keep systems stable
Qualification
Required
Unreal Engine 5 experience (Blueprints required, C++ a plus)
Familiarity with AI concepts (states, behavior trees, navigation)
At least one gameplay or AI example project (prototype is fine)
Unreal Engine networking experience
Understanding of replication, client/server logic, and RPCs
Blueprint or C++ experience (either is acceptable)
Comfortable collaborating remotely via Discord
Able to work within an existing project and take feedback
Based in the USA or Canada
Comfortable with a revenue-share only, long-term indie project
