Summer Intern 2026, US Orthopaedics Supply Chain

Responsibilities
Manages and ensures clear communication with US Commercial partners regarding inventory availability and contributes to the US Short-Term Exception Management (STEM) processes and forums. Collaborates with key Global Supply Chain partners to understand the latest supply outlook and prioritizes accordingly
Manages manual allocation, order-to-order reallocation, and other demand management activities to improve customer service, streamline Last Mile execution, and optimize business outcomes
Monitors and reports on key priority orders (ex. set sales, competitive conversions, military orders) and expedites supply to ensure timely fulfillment
Support DePuy Synthes inventory and technology programs associated with traceability, location service, entitlement and improved digital programs, collaborating with all relevant functions to ensure delivery of the programs
Drive enhanced field audit processes in partnership with Field Sales Teams to drive accuracy, compliance and improved reconciliation result and with accelerated closure
Perform system transactions to ensure field inventory movements, returns, and scrap are captured and reported accurately
Depending on the needs of your team, your responsibilities and projects may vary. You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and possibly other interns to complete your tasks. Previously, interns have used tools like Power BI, Tableau and Alteryx to provide insights on marketing effectiveness and pent-up demand. The Commercial Operations & Strategy teams create usable data for all functions across DePuy Synthes
Qualification
Required
Legally authorized to work in the US and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (ex. H1-B, F-1)
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree, completing minimum undergraduate sophomore year prior to internship start date
A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required
Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
Ability to balance multiple projects while delivering results
Self-starter who can work independently and contribute to team goals
Preferred
Proven leadership/participation with campus programs and/or service programs is desired
