Responsibilities
Analyze operational needs and design system improvements, workflows, and new processes
Translate business and process needs into clear documentation for the external CargoWise programmer
Coordinate with developers to ensure system updates and customizations are developed correctly
Oversee and test system changes, optimizations, and new implementations
Generate and maintain CargoWise KPIs, reporting structures, and system configurations
Provide advanced troubleshooting for issues within CargoWise
Train team members on new system features or process changes as necessary
Serve as the primary helpdesk resource for the office, supporting staff with software installs and troubleshooting hardware issues
Configure new laptops and workstations, ensuring access to required systems and tools
Perform routine software updates and monitor basic security issues
Act as the on-site IT point of contact, maintaining documentation of IT processes and system configurations
Qualification
Required
Strong CargoWise experience with at least 2 years of hands-on use
Freight forwarding industry knowledge with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Proficiency in supporting IT systems, including Windows OS and Microsoft 365
Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues and manage new hire onboarding
Confidence and self-sufficiency as the main on-site IT support
Preferred
CargoWise certifications are preferred
5–10+ years of CargoWise or freight-forwarding technology experience preferred
Broader freight forwarding operational exposure preferred
Strong business-process documentation and mapping skills preferred
Experience in project management and training end users preferred
