They are seeking a Bilingual Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer to support global packaging operations by providing technical support and optimizing plastic packaging solutions, while collaborating with international subcontractors to resolve production issues.

Responsibilities
Create and manage technical documentation, including CAD models & drawings, specifications, and test reports
Conduct functional & dimensional testing to verify plastic packaging components and equipment comply with design and performance specifications
Collaborate with subcontractors both domestically and internally to resolve manufacturing issues and improve production efficiency
Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for packaging defects or equipment failures
Work cross-functionally with Quality, R&D, and Operations teams to develop new products or improve legacy product designs
Support training on PPG's line of plastic packaging and operation of mixing & dispensing equipment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or related field (or experience in lieu of)
1+ year of experience in mechanical design, packaging engineering, or manufacturing processes
Fluent in Spanish
Mechanical aptitude - ability and experience using hand tools
Familiarity with pneumatic logic design and equipment operation
Proficiency in SolidWorks
Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% (primarily Mexico)
