Supply Chain Project Manager

Responsibilities
Responsible for coordination of projects and request for projects with SC leadership team, performing an initial analysis for leadership discussion related to resource allocation and project scoping
Provide leadership/direction for projects that have been assigned to her/him from VP of Supply Chain. Work with SC
Leaders across the enterprise to develop Project Governance, as needed, for each project. Develop project team with input from leadership. Lead, guide, assist and coordinate project team, users, vendors and other internal or external resources
Manage the project schedule and meetings. Develop project scope. Assist with the development of cost/benefit data
Develop and assist project team with application requirements and implementation tasks. Create project timeline & assign resources to tasks. Carry out timely and appropriate communication of project information to project stakeholders, project team and end users. Assist the team members to stay on task and escalate barriers to leadership when appropriate. Perform project close-out tasks, which includes obtaining approval to close the project and transitioning to an operational support model
Monitor and control project issues and risks. Engage appropriate resources to resolve application development or implementation related issues. Support users/team members with problem solving. In all cases where appropriate develop and implement monitoring and compliance processes to assure sustainability of results
Provide management and team project status reporting. Conduct well-managed and efficient Project Team meetings. Collaborate with project leads and assure alignment
Prepare documentation for each project, appropriate to the project scope and length
Assist with annual Supply Chain assigned strategic project planning process
Assist leadership with management and implementation of department standards, goal setting and prioritization of work
Interface Supply Chain Teams, other department managers and operational staff on existing or proposed systems always fostering positive working relations and keeping customer satisfaction as primary goal
Maintain strong project management skills. Stay current on best technology, best practices, processes and implementation methods
Provide performance data to teams
Assist with internal process improvements, ERP Module updates and associated education
Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures
Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree Business administration, Supply Chain Management, Clinical Healthcare Roles, related field or equivalent experience is required
5+ years Experience in each of the following is required for the position: Systems problem solving and analysis, managing implementations and conversions, and leading project teams is required
3+ years Experience managing multiple concurrent projects is required
Preferred
3+ years Experience in Supply Chain is preferred
4+ years Experience conducting meetings, preparing status reports, and supporting user/team members with problem solving, developing and coordinating with vendors on RFP's/RFI's is preferred
Project Management Professional Certification preferred
