Quality Technician
VRC Engineered Solutions is a leading provider of custom-engineered molded products and sealing solutions. They are seeking a hands-on, detail-driven Quality Technician III to take ownership of the internal RMA process and drive production quality excellence on the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities
Own and manage the internal RMA process, including receipt, verification, segregation, tracking, and disposition of returned product
Coordinate containment actions and oversee rework/sorting activities to ensure conformance to instructions and acceptance criteria; verify and document results
Maintain complete, accurate RMA documentation, including inspection findings, defect data, rework verification, scrap disposition, and traceability
Coordinate specialized in‑house inspections and recommend improvements to overall quality performance
Support in‑process inspections per control plans/work instructions and ensure proper documentation and inspection frequencies
Assist with first-piece/first-article approvals, job start-ups, and changeovers; escalate quality concerns and support containment efforts
Contribute to production quality initiatives including operator training (defect recognition, inspection technique), SPC data collection, and reaction plan adherence
Support audit readiness for ISO 9001; exposure to IATF 16949 and ISO 13485 preferred. Participate in layered process audits and product audits
Provide backup quality coverage across 1st and 2nd shift as needed
Interact with customers as needed for RMA clarification or quality concerns; occasional local travel may be required
Qualification
Required
Hands-on, detail-driven Quality Technician III
Ownership of internal RMA process
Drive production quality excellence on the manufacturing floor
Influence processes, training, audit readiness, and overall quality culture
Impact customer satisfaction, internal efficiency, and plant operations performance
Manage internal RMA process, including receipt, verification, segregation, tracking, and disposition of returned product
Coordinate containment actions and oversee rework/sorting activities
Maintain complete, accurate RMA documentation
Coordinate specialized in-house inspections and recommend improvements
Support in-process inspections per control plans/work instructions
Assist with first-piece/first-article approvals, job start-ups, and changeovers
Contribute to production quality initiatives including operator training

Working knowledge of ISO 9001
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Proficiency with measurement tools: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, visual inspection aids
Strong organizational skills, documentation accuracy, communication abilities, and capability to coach shop-floor quality behaviors
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
High school diploma/GED required
3–5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred
Experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 13485
Associate degree, technical training, or certification
Plastics injection molding experience
