Responsibilities
Operate and maintain test pit equipment for pump performance and verification
Conduct pump flow, pressure, and vacuum tests per NFPA 1900
Document test results accurately and flag non-conformances
Collaborate with engineers and mechanics to troubleshoot failures
Calibrate and maintain test equipment to ensure accuracy
Ensure safety compliance during all testing procedures
Assist in developing standardized work instructions and test plans
Assist with in-process inspection and final inspection audits
Scheduling and overseeing UL Audits
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members
Qualification
Required
Strong mechanical and technical ability required
Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Able to follow written and verbal directions
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
Basic PC Functions
Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed
Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot
Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines
Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment
Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all
Must be able to obtain Class B CDL with a tanker endorsement
Preferred
Strong understanding of pump performance testing and NFPA 1900 standards
Familiarity with water flow, pressure gauges, and flow meters
Knowledge of safety protocols for high-pressure water systems
Ability to interpret performance specs
Mechanical aptitude for identifying issues in plumbing or pump systems
