Responsibilities
Design Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs) for various plant systems
Originate and review of system design criteria
Originate and review of setpoint calculations
Specify instrumentation, control valves, and control systems packages
Generate instrument and control valve data sheets and material requisitions
Design and review of digital and analog control logic
Data entry to instrumentation and I/O databases
Design and apply tubing and instrument installations, etc
Allocate and layout of facility control system I/O
Coordinate physical locations of instrumentation, control valves, control cabinets, etc
Design and review of cabinet layouts
Review supplier provided data and documentation
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, other functions, client
Perform plant walkdowns and generate of walkdown notes/packages
Provide technical assistance to more junior engineers, designers
Qualification
Required
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering field and 5-8 years of relevant experience, or MS degree in Nuclear, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering field, with four (4) years of related experience, or 9-12 years relevant engineering experience in lieu of degree
U.S. citizen or have the right to legally work and remain in the United States without sponsorship
Candidate must be capable of passing nuclear security screening requirements and be able to obtain unescorted clearance to a nuclear facility
Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
