Area Maintenance Technician

The Area Maintenance Technician will guide and coordinate maintenance activities to improve equipment uptime and production reliability, while mentoring technicians and executing maintenance projects.

Responsibilities

Coordinate, prioritize, and track work orders for production equipment
Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering to define scopes of work and action plans for equipment repair and improvements; attend and contribute in cross-functional meetings
Inspect machines and equipment to verify operational performance and optimize utilization
Use basic hand tools and electrical diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair equipment deficiencies
Train and mentor less experienced technicians on maintenance best practices and safe work methods
Develop and standardize processes and procedures to improve equipment uptime and reliability
Lead work efforts for assigned project tasks; drive completion to plan
Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Adhere to company attendance policies; regular attendance and occasional overtime are required
Collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization; able to work in teams and independently

Required

Minimum 5 years of related experience in a maintenance role
At least 2 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is required
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present to groups
Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Able to interpret a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status; ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder '), Political Asylee, or Refugee
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire; visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred

Certification in mechanical, electrical, or multi-craft apprenticeship preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics preferred
