Technology Analyst I
Climate People is an advisory firm that works with a range of clients from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, focusing on securing government funding in various technology sectors. The Technology Analyst I role involves conducting independent technology research and analyses, assisting in client deliverables, and preparing technical documentation to support client projects.
Responsibilities
This high exposure role will provide independent technology research and analyses, including qualitative and quantitative analysis of fundamental scientific principles and their impact on devices and systems related to client projects. This will involve learning and explaining technologies in fields that are both familiar and unfamiliar to you, so you must be a quick learner!
You will keep up to date with program developments within the government such as: DoD, CIA, NIH, DoE, DHS and the Intelligence Community
You will provide background support and preparation for the creation of technical presentations, collateral, concept papers, white papers, grant applications, and RFP responses for clients and government customers, including background research and the preparation of initial draft deliverables
You will assist in client deliverables (both preparation and follow-up activities) and participate in client meetings and subsequent client strategy discussions
You will assist in planning and executing firm initiatives (e.g. conferences, events, team deliverables) and manage meeting schedules and client deliverable schedules, to ensure timely execution
You will assist with the creation of quantitative technical and performance value-propositions for various client technologies in application areas being targeted within the government
You will prepare internal technical memos and presentations and weekly internal and external client summary reports
Qualification
Required
You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a hard-science or engineering (e.g. material sciences, physics, physical chemistry, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and/or similar subject matter)
You have excellent writing, oral communication, critical thinking and quantitative analytical skills
You have the ability to think creatively and independently about how to solve new problems or apply technologies to new applications
You are a self-starter, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
You have the ability to quickly adapt to change and you are able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred
You have experience in the semiconductor / material science / clean tech / industrial / energy space
