Responsibilities

Develop and enhance relative asset class research and provide asset allocation recommendations to the portfolio management team
Develop and enhance capital market forecasts that inform asset allocation decisions and multi-asset class portfolio construction as it relates to Target Date strategies
Monitor and analyze market trends, economic developments, and geopolitical shocks to make informed investment decisions
Communicate complex investment concepts and strategies to portfolio managers and stakeholders

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree with an emphasis in finance, economics, accounting, or a technical field
8+ years of relative asset class modeling and asset allocation recommendations
General knowledge and understanding of investment vehicles, economic and investment theories, the investment environment, retirement investing, and Principal Global Investors' network of specialized investment groups and affiliate product offerings
A proven track record of strong analytical and research skills as it relates to relative asset class modeling and market research

Preferred

CFA designation
Experience with Morningstar, Bloomberg, FactSet, Macrobond, Barra and performance attribution/risk decomposition tools
Financial modeling experience that includes Excel, Python, or other coding tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to efficiently and effectively research, compile and analyze information
Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently in a non-structured environment, and drive results
