InternQIAGEN is dedicated to revolutionizing science and healthcare for the better. They are seeking an Intern - Specification Creator to work on creating internal specification documents for raw materials, collaborating with team members and verifying content with department users.

Responsibilities
Working both individually and in a team environment, this project requires much computer work looking at vendor COA’s and specifications as well as company documents and templates
Possible opportunity to use advanced computing skills like AI
Working under supervision of Document Control and using company template, project requires gathering vendor information and QIAGEN material requirements to create internal specification documents for raw materials (~400 of them)
Individual will look at grouping similar materials to ensure comparable requirements/specifications, create a specification for each material while also working with department users to verify content of specification upon writing them. The finish line is to have a part specific document for each purchased material identified by it’s part number, verified by its primary user, and effective in the document management system so that upon ordering new material, receiving new material, or testing new material; staff will know what a passing material should be and what a failing material should be. This can further be expanded to include testing forms to go with each specification that would require such place to record data and have disposition and signature
Qualification
Required
Ability to work both individually and in a team environment
Proficiency in computer work, specifically looking at vendor COA's and specifications as well as company documents and templates
Ability to gather vendor information and QIAGEN material requirements to create internal specification documents for raw materials
Capability to group similar materials to ensure comparable requirements/specifications
Ability to create a specification for each material while working with department users to verify content of specification
Familiarity with document management systems
Attention to detail to ensure specifications are accurate and effective
