Responsibilities
Responsible for the maintenance of the entire municipal enterprise network
Supervises the staff and monitors employee productivity and provides constructive feedback and coaching
Plans, forecasts, implements and identifies resource requirements for network systems
Analyzes network traffic, determines technology standards for the municipality, integrates systems, and determines strategic directions for the municipal data networks
Deploys the release of new technologies as well as designs, installs, configures, maintains, and performs system integration testing of PC/server operating systems, related utilities and hardware
Sets standards and baselines of overall network performance, corrects global network integration problems, monitors network performance, and handles global network issues
Oversees a team of analysts, specialists and technicians ensuring the proper and timely maintenance of the MOA network
Fills the role of project leader for special enterprise-wide assignments
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration or a related field
Six (6) years of progressively responsible professional systems analysis, and/or systems design and database administration experience
Two (2) years of experience as a project leader, at the level of Senior Systems Analyst, with total project direction and leadership responsibilities
Valid State of Alaska Driver's License and satisfactory Driving Record at time of hire
Satisfactory Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) background check within 30 days of hire
