VP, Marketing and Communications Data Privacy

They are seeking a Vice President to lead privacy-by-design across Marketing & Communications, defining and owning the privacy strategy and control framework aligned to enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Embed privacy principles into all Marcom strategies, campaigns, channels, vendors and platforms, ensuring compliant, ethical use of personal data while enabling measurable marketing impact
Serve as the primary privacy point of contact for Marcom and a key liaison with Global Privacy Office, Legal/Compliance, Data Governance, and Technology
Establish governance for consent, preferences, tagging, and tracking technologies (cookies, pixels, SDKs), including standards for tag management and data minimization
Drive privacy-by-design in campaign planning, audience building, personalization, measurement, and MarTech/CDP/CRM integrations
Maintain an authoritative inventory of Marcom data flows, tagging, vendors, and cross-border transfers
Lead privacy impact assessments for Marcom initiatives, new channels, and technology changes; ensure risks are mitigated and remedial actions tracked to closure
Train and coach Marcom teams on privacy principles, data minimization and responsible measurement
Oversee third-party/vendor assessments for marketing tools, analytics, media partners and event platforms; ensure contracts contain appropriate privacy clauses and DPAs

Required

7-9 years in marketing/digital marketing, privacy, compliance, or data governance, with at least 5 years working in privacy or risk programs in a global organization
Strong knowledge of major privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) and marketing-specific laws/guidelines (CAN-SPAM, TCPA/SMS consent)
Demonstrated experience designing and operationalizing privacy-by-design for business use cases
Proven ability to lead cross-functional stakeholders and communicate complex privacy topics to senior executives and creative/marketing teams
Ability to identify risk, prioritization and remediate data privacy issues

Preferred

Understanding of marketing technologies (CDP/CRM, marketing automation, analytics, tag managers, DMPs/ad platforms, email/SMS, social)
