Responsibilities
Review and validate all switchboard order documentation from the Electrical COE team, including outline drawings, unit schedules, wiring diagrams, BidMan quick prints, and AP requisitions
Ensure all products meet applicable national and local electrical codes and standards, including UL, NEC, NEMA, and OSHPD
Cross-check Bill of Materials (BOM) in BidMan against design standards for Engineer-to-Order (ETO) switchboard orders
Generate comprehensive Manufacturing Information (MI) packages using Bid Manager, AutoCAD, and Plant Order Manager
Design custom fabricated components (i.e. Bus bar, doors, covers etc.) using AutoCAD and 3D modeling tools (e.g., Autodesk Inventor), ensuring proper routing to the designated assembly teams
Create final BOM from 3D models and release models and drawings in Enovia
Qualification
Required
Mechanical Engineer (Switchboards, Switchgear) is responsible for engineering customer orders including detailed review of layout and application of equipment, component layout and modeling using 3D cad software, and supports various phases of order management from initial engineering review thru production shipment
Review and validate all switchboard order documentation from the Electrical COE team, including outline drawings, unit schedules, wiring diagrams, BidMan quick prints, and AP requisitions
Ensure all products meet applicable national and local electrical codes and standards, including UL, NEC, NEMA, and OSHPD
