Responsibilities
Engage directly with business users to understand, document, and clarify data requirements
Translate business needs into logical and physical data models
Design and create database tables and structures with consideration for downstream system integration and data usage
Apply dimensional data modeling and Data Vault methodologies to support analytics and reporting
Perform database analysis to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability
Develop and optimize SQL queries to support data validation and reporting
Collaborate with BI teams to ensure data models effectively support Power BI and/or Tableau reporting
Ensure data models align with enterprise architecture standards and future-state system integration (e.g., data nexus environments)
Qualification
Required
Traditional data modeling experience in finance or banking environments
Strong expertise in dimensional data modeling
Solid background in database analysis and relational database design
Advanced SQL skills
Exposure to business intelligence tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau
Proven ability to communicate with business stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical data structures
Preferred
Experience with Data Vault modeling
Oracle database experience
Familiarity with enterprise data hubs or nexus-style architectures
