Responsibilities
Use accounting knowledge to make recommendations to clients as they navigate significant business transformations
Assist clients in the preparation of trial balances and financial statements (compiled and reviewed), including, but not limited to, reconciling cash, accounts payable, income and expense analysis, and accrued liabilities
Conduct research and analysis related to complex accounting transactions, develop memos, analyses, and other client-facing deliverables
Analyze and evaluate internal controls related to financial risks
Develop and implement strategies and procedures to improve internal controls
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
Provide support to client pre/during/post system implementation
Document client processes and make recommendations for improvement
Assist clients with various FP&A needs, including budgeting and forecasting for sales, inventory, and operations
Help clients implement leading cash management practices
Assist clients through transactions
Completion of the firm's proprietary training program(s)
Participation in team engagement activities
Participation in ad-hoc internal operational projects, as needed
Travel to client locations and MMC office is required
Qualification
Required
BA/BS degree in accounting, finance or related field
6+ years of professional experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong research and technical writing skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven capability in collaborating with teams
Ability to make client recommendations and propose solutions
Ability to create high quality client deliverables
Ability to self-manage effectively meeting deadlines
Thorough working knowledge of accounting software and systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Preferred
CPA preferred
Prior client service experience & working on projects is preferred
Public accounting experience preferred
Relevant experience in multiple industries preferred
