Qualification
Required
Deep, hands-on experience delivering high-power power electronics systems (e.g., traction inverters, OBCs, DC/DC, AC/DC) and associated magnetics/actives/passives for demanding, safety-critical
Demonstrated capability as a technical authority across different safety-critical sectors (e.g., automotive, aerospace, off-highway, commercial vehicle, defense, clean energy, marine), including customer-facing technical leadership
Proven experience in digital and mixed-signal control, sensing, and interface circuits, including embedded processing platforms and real-world implementation constraints
Strong track record in EMC-aware design and noise mitigation, including layout practices, filtering, grounding, shielding, common-mode management, and test correlation/troubleshooting
Expertise in multi-domain modeling and simulation of power electronic and magnetic systems (electrical, control, thermal, EMC), with demonstrated correlation between simulation and hardware
Ability to plan, lead, and govern multi-person development projects, including technical risk management, structured design reviews, and cross-functional
Experience with advanced motor drive control concepts (FOC, field-weakening, overmodulation, harmonic injection for NVH, fault handling and protection) across multiple machine types (1PM, SPM, IM/ASM, SR)
Demonstrated delivery of power electronics hardware from lab prototype through rig validation to production-intent or sector-qualification environments, including verification planning
Strong competence overseeing PCB layout and design-for-manufacture/assembly considerations, including isolation, creepage/clearance, thermal paths, and mechanical packaging constraints
Experience with thermal, fluid, and heat-transfer simulation and management for power electronics systems, including heatsinks, cold plates, and system-level thermal derating strategies
Formal training and a strong safety discipline for high-voltage/high-power laboratory work, test infrastructure, and safe operating procedures
Bachelor's degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a closely related discipline with typically 12+ years of relevant experience, or
Master's degree (MS) with typically 8+ years of relevant experience, or
Doctorate (PhD) with typically 5+ years of relevant industry
In all cases, candidates must demonstrate Principal-level technical authority, system ownership, and cross-program influence
