Responsibilities
Represents VHB at meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish needs and discuss design issues
Responsible for client relationships, visibility, and business development
Oversee the development of project scopes and deliverables such as electrical layouts, one-line documents, construction documents, and equipment specifications
Develop specifications, collect data, and complete utility interconnection applications
Develop detailed equipment specifications
Coordinate activities between clients, utilities, contractors, and other engineering disciplines
Lead the integration of energy storage systems into the solar PV system
Prepare written technical reports and oral presentations documenting findings, conclusions, and recommendations
Provide expert electrical engineering witness services
Perform system impact studies
Provide mentorship and training to early career engineering personnel
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline required
Minimum of 8-11 years of electrical engineering design experience (5 years designing commercial & utility scale solar PV systems, BESS, or equivalent) required
Professional Engineering (PE) License in electrical engineering
Familiarity with the National Electrical Code and National Electric Safety Code
Preferred
Experience working in the northeastern U.S. is preferred
