OTC Derivatives Transformation Lead – Alpha Business Architecture – Vice President

State Street’s Alpha Business Architecture team is building the future of integrated front‑to‑back investment servicing. The OTC Derivatives Transformation Lead will drive delivery of high-visibility projects across all phases, oversee requirements definition, and partner with Operations teams to enhance service quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Drive delivery of cross‑operational, high‑visibility projects across all phases—from initiation to execution
Lead project scoping and planning, setting realistic expectations and aligning stakeholders across Operations, Technology, and Business teams
Oversee requirements definition and solution design for complex OTC derivatives processes
Provide ongoing project governance, including progress tracking, reporting, and quality oversight
Build influential relationships with senior sponsors and stakeholders, effectively navigating competing priorities
Develop a deep understanding of State Street’s business architecture to help shape design decisions and future‑state models
Partner with Operations teams to streamline processes, reduce risk, enhance service quality, and improve efficiency

Required

Minimum BS/BA degree required in Technology, Finance, Business, or equivalent
Minimum of 10 years of experience in OTC Middle Office operations
Experience in software applications analysis and business analysis
Knowledge of SDLC & Agile Methodology and tools
Comfortable facilitating project working groups and possesses strong data gathering skills
Experience with Microsoft Office tools Word, Excel, Project, and Visio is required
Strategic thinker with strong business analysis and planning skills. Capable of identifying and interpreting wider-ranging issues: ‘Big picture' understanding
Demonstrate understanding of Operations processes and procedures and an ability to learn quickly. Knowledge of OTC Swaps and Options products and processes related to the financial services industry would be an advantage, as is related experience in technology strategy or in a client service or business function and/or management consulting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and oral; confident in interaction with clients and senior stakeholders
Experience with designing new solutions by analyzing requirements, studying system capabilities, and writing detailed business requirements. Very strong interest in the underlying detail of the analysis is a must
Communicate complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing
Ability to engage with and influence stakeholders outside their direct control

SQL/database query skills a plus
