Supporting nurses, nurse practitioners, and physicians in delivering patient care
Handling patient information with a clear understanding of confidentiality and privacy standards
Complying with the hospital’s safety management policies to maintain a hazard-free environment
Serving as a change agent, adapting to census fluctuations and meeting the evolving needs of both internal and external customers
Qualification
Required
GED or High School diploma is required
CMA certification is required to work to the full scope of practice at Kids Express and Urgent Care locations
1 year of customer service experience and 1 year of healthcare experience, including documenting in an electronic medical record (EMR)
strong communication skills
willingness to accept delegated tasks
ability to ask questions and report relevant patient information appropriately
understanding of confidentiality and privacy standards
compliance with the hospital's safety management policies
commitment to the hospital's mission
ability to promote a patient and family centered experience
adaptability to census fluctuations and meeting the evolving needs of both internal and external customers
Preferred
1 year experience preferred for medical assistants
Medical Assistant training may be required by the manager to fulfill job responsibilities at certain locations
