Responsibilities
Submit our design scope through the PA One Call (Pa 811) website to obtain responses from facility owners, supporting work order preparation and bidding. Track and monitor design one call numbers to ensure alignment/compliance with the bidding schedule
Create and manage the life cycle of each project's Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) numbers, providing monthly status updates to the state Capital Team
Collaborate with the Construction Supervisor and the GIS Team to develop Work Order Sketches for bidding and construction, which illustrate 811 information and proposed water assets
Coordinate with External Affairs to send mailers to all customers impacted by each project and send automated phone messages to them at key project milestones
Create purchase orders based on executed contracts for each project and process contractor payments every month
Project as-builts: Upon project completion, work with inspectors to assign asset numbers to installed elements, verify that materials used match those ordered, and confirm with GPS data
Assist with creating service line work orders in our asset management system
Qualification
Required
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft suite applications including MSWord, Excell, Access, PowerPoint and MS Outlook
Demonstrated organization and administrative skills
Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize tasks
Demonstrated interpersonal skills (e.g., tact/diplomacy, team building, cooperation)
Good quantitative and analytical skills; attention to detail
3 years overall work experience
High school diploma or equivalency required
Preferred
Knowledge of water or utility industry preferred
Associates level degree in business, finance, accounting or engineering preferred
