Responsibilities

Develop and execute natural gas contracting strategies for long-term supply and transportation agreements to new and existing generation resources

Negotiate and manage structured fuel and supply contracts for power, gas, coal, and renewables

Assess market trends and commercial opportunities to ensure cost-effective, reliable energy and fuel supply solutions

Oversee pipeline and rail transportation, railcar lease agreements and wind forecasting services

Provide expert analysis to support key decision-making in portfolio management

Required

Typically, 8–15 years of experience in natural gas markets, fuel contracting (natural gas, coal), or power supply contracts, though strong candidates with 3 to 5 years of experience are encouraged to apply

Strong knowledge of natural gas supply chains, transportation agreements, and pipeline tariffs

Expertise in contract negotiation, counterparty relationship management, and cost optimization

Proven ability to lead complex projects, drive strategic initiatives, and develop executive-level decision support materials

Preferred

Experience with drafting contract language for wholesale power agreements, coal supply, or rail transportation

Familiarity with natural gas scheduling, power generation development, and transmission interconnection
