Logistics Informatics and Project Data Analyst
Forrest Health is seeking a Logistics Informatics and Project Data Analyst to bridge clinical operations and data analytics. This role involves analyzing healthcare throughput data, optimizing workflows, and supporting EHR systems to enhance operational efficiency and maintain regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
Analyze operational data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Smartsheet, Power BI, Tableau, or similar
Collaborate with clinicians, IT staff, and administrators to optimize EHR workflows and efficiency automation
Support data extraction, transformation, and loading processes for clinical databases
Ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards
Participates in the design and implementation of clinical decision support tools
Translate regulatory requirements into technical specifications for data reporting and analytics
Provide training and support to staff on tools and data literacy when needed
Monitors and evaluate the impact of operational interventions on financial outcomes as needed
Other duties as assigned
Plan and manage ADT-related projects, including: bed management optimization, discharge workflow redesign, transfer, and level-of-care workflows
Admission and registration process improvements
Builds and maintains patient flow project charters, timelines, governance approvals, and go-live plans
Facilitate cross-functional working groups between clinical, operational, and IT teams
Serves as a core member of assigned Governance Committees
Facilitates epic enhancements and ensures alignment with executive goals
Conducts impact analyses and presents governance committees with recommendations to achieve outcomes
Ensure ADT data integrity supports CMS, Joint Commission, and Payer reporting requirements
Build knowledge and maintenance of Facility Structures, billing tables, and scheduling workflows
Collaborate with Epic analysts to ensure technical stability
Perform structured testing and support go-live validation
Collaborate with trainers to produce educational materials and tip sheets
Communicate implementation timelines and change impacts
Provide consultative support to operational leadership regarding workflows and optimization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree is required
Minimum 3 years of experience working in an acute care hospital environment
Minimum 2 years of Epic Certified Status as an analyst for build, workflow design, informatics, and data analytics
Experience in multi-hospital or IT integrated care delivery systems
Prior involvement in IT governance, clinical standardization, or QI initiatives
Familiarity with TJC, CMS, and other regulatory requirements
Strong understanding of interdisciplinary workflows that involve IT and clinical operations
Experience leading multiple stakeholder teams for projects
Epic Analyst Certification in Order transmittal, Grand Central, or Prelude
Analytical Thinking: Interpreting complex technical and operational data
Identifying trends, anomalies, and actionable insights
Designing and validating data models and reports with clinical and operational stakeholders
Strong understanding of evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary workflows
Attention to Detail: Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
Reviewing and validating data inputs and outputs from EHR systems and analytics tools
Problem-Solving: Troubleshooting data discrepancies or workflow inefficiencies
Developing solutions to improve clinical decision-making and operational performance
Multitasking and Prioritization: Managing multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholder requests simultaneously
Balancing short-term reporting needs with long-term informatics initiatives
Communication and Collaboration: Translating technical data into understandable insights for clinical and administrative staff
Collaborating with cross-functional teams including IT, clinicians, and leadership
Adaptability and Learning: Keeping up with evolving healthcare technologies, data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR), and regulatory requirements
Adapting to new tools, platforms, and organizational priorities
Decision-Making under Uncertainty: Making informed recommendations based on incomplete or evolving data
Weighing clinical, operational, and ethical considerations in data use
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
