Research Administrator (RSCH ADM 2 CX)
The University of California, Davis is seeking a Research Administrator to provide financial analysis and compliance oversight for the Department of Surgical and Radiological Sciences. The role involves managing financial data from various funding sources, assisting in financial planning, and ensuring departmental compliance with university policies.
Responsibilities
50% - Financial and Budget Analysis
30% - Financial Project Management
10% - Visa Processing
10% - Other Duties as Assigned
Qualification
Required
College degree or equivalent experience
Experience in financial analysis, forecasting and strategic planning to analyze and compile financial data and reports
Experience in budget preparation based on research plans
Experience managing and monitoring multiple accounts/projects
Experience in the use of financial management software
Knowledge of federal, state and private compliance regulations governing use of grant funds
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Standards
Analytical skills to independently assume responsibility for complex projects with strong customer service skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to clearly and effectively interact with people of varying ages and cultural backgrounds, in person and in writing; ability to clarify situations and resolve problems; ability to exercise tact and diplomacy, especially to resolve disagreements and conflicts
Preferred
BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, business or math
Experience managing and submitting NIH contracts & grants
Experience with Oracle Financial Systems
Advanced Excel skills
