Spatial Transcriptomics Experiment Scientist
Novogene America is a leading company in the genomics field, and they are seeking a Spatial Transcriptomics Experiment Scientist. The role involves executing and optimizing workflows for Spatial Transcriptomics projects, maintaining accurate documentation, and preparing laboratory reagents.
Responsibilities
Execute and optimize workflows for Spatial Transcriptomics projects, including sample preparation (e.g., tissue sectioning and staining) and library construction
Maintain accurate documentation by recording, organizing, and archiving all project-related data
Ensure timely completion of project tasks, promptly report any issues, and support the resolution of technical challenges
Prepare laboratory reagents and perform routine maintenance, calibration, and operation of related instruments and equipment
Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the line manager
Other work arrangements from the line manager
Can base in Sacramento in 2026 Quarter 1 to Quarter 3; and then can move back to Beaverton
Willingness to come to China on business trip for training is preferred
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in Medical Laboratory Science, Animal Science, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline
Strong sense of responsibility, meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proven ability to work effectively in a team
Preferred
Experience in sectioning paraffin- or OCT-embedded tissue samples is preferred
At least one year of hands-on experience in next-generation sequencing workflows (e.g., nucleic acid extraction and library construction) is preferred
At least one year of practical experience in spatial transcriptomics, with demonstrated ability to independently execute related experimental workflows, is highly preferred
Willingness to come to China on business trip for training is preferred
