They are seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist to join their analytics team, responsible for supporting research processes, analyzing data sets, and developing insights for product management and new technologies.

Responsibilities
Support ongoing research process and pilot program analyses with lenders and fintech companies
Analyze structured and unstructured data sets to derive analytic insights and solutions
Conduct overarching analyses on consumer profiling using a variety of data sources
Run performance analyses on different data sets, back testing, and rejection inferencing
Conduct and improve model monitoring processes and develop data visualizations to identify and communicate insights
Qualification
Required
Master's Degree or PhD (preferred) in a quantitative background (data science, applied mathematics or statistics, computer science, engineering, econometrics or another related field)
3-4 years of relevant professional experience with consumer credit bureau data in advanced analytics (statistics, machine learning) in research and/or corporate environment
Strong data analysis experience and proficiency with machine learning techniques (e.g., classification, clustering, regression, etc.) and ability to support predictive risk and credit model builds and deployments
Strong working knowledge with conducting statistical/data science analysis in Python
Working knowledge of the statistical/mathematical software SAS
Experience conducting research to interpret findings into presentations/fact sheets/whitepapers
Experience creating analyses to present to business stakeholders
Ability to demonstrate effective contribution to a collaborative team environment
Preferred
High level of analytical problem-solving skills and ability to assimilate complex information, as well as experience in building and deploying innovative solutions
Commitment to creating rigorous, high-quality insights from data
Experience with working on model implementation with engineering teams
Experience with adapting new AI and LLM techniques
Strong communication skills at all levels of technical & non-technical audience
Team player with strong interpersonal skills and experience of working in cross-functional teams, ideally in an Agile setting
Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams
