Senior Lead Recruiter

The Senior Lead Recruiter will lead complex searches, deepen client relationships, and enhance the recruiting experience for clients, candidates, and teammates alike.

Responsibilities

Own full-cycle mid to senior-level searches from intake through close, managing 8–10 searches at any given time
Partner closely with client leaders, hiring managers, and HR teams to deeply understand business needs and design a tailored search strategy for each role
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients—providing market insight, talent perspectives, and guidance throughout the hiring process
Define and execute creative, research-driven sourcing strategies using LinkedIn, outbound outreach, referrals, and other advanced tools
Conduct high-quality, behavioral-based interviews and influence hiring decisions through thoughtful assessment and clear communication
Deliver a seamless, high-touch experience for candidates and clients through responsiveness, professionalism, and integrity
Collaborate with and mentor Associate Recruiters—providing direction, coaching, and day-to-day support as needed
Contribute to the firm’s strategic direction by sharing insights, ideas, and process improvements internally
Identify business development opportunities and help strengthen relationships with existing and prospective clients
Lead business reviews with senior client stakeholders, sharing trends, risks, and talent intelligence
Represent Grey Search + Strategy as a brand ambassador through client interactions, networking, and external engagement
Travel as needed to support client relationships and searches

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in executive search or high-touch professional recruiting
Deep knowledge of sourcing strategies, online recruiting tools, and social media channels
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex searches without things slipping through the cracks
Strong business acumen with the ability to understand client strategy and connect talent decisions to outcomes
Exceptional relationship-building skills—clients, candidates, and teammates trust you
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, follow-through, and project management skills
Strategic thinker with a creative, curious approach to problem-solving
Self-directed, agile, and comfortable adapting as priorities evolve
Track record of identifying opportunities and driving improvements that elevate recruiting results
Ability to lead with confidence while staying humble, collaborative, and grounded
