Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of application developers and technical leads supporting credit risk platforms
Own end-to-end delivery of credit risk applications, from requirements through deployment and support
Partner closely with Credit Risk, Risk Analytics, Model Validation, and Compliance teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Oversee development of systems related to credit scoring, risk ratings, exposure management, limits, stress testing, and reporting
Ensure applications align with regulatory expectations (Basel, IFRS 9 / CECL, SR 11-7, local regulatory requirements)
Drive architectural decisions, ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and performance
Establish and enforce development standards, best practices, and SDLC governance
Manage vendor relationships and third-party integrations where applicable
Ensure production stability, incident management, and continuous improvement
Contribute to technology roadmaps and modernization initiatives (cloud, microservices, automation)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of application development experience, with at least 3+ years in a management or lead role
Strong hands-on experience with Java and modern application frameworks (Spring Boot preferred)
Deep understanding of credit risk concepts including PD, LGD, EAD, RWA, credit limits, and portfolio risk
Experience supporting credit risk systems in banking or financial services
Solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling
Experience with APIs, batch processing, and data integration
Familiarity with secure coding practices and regulatory controls
Preferred
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Exposure to risk engines, rating models, or analytics platforms
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Experience working with globally distributed teams
Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies
