Responsibilities
Partner with ITS, Finance, HR, and Operations to implement new software releases, patches, and upgrades to financial systems including design meetings, direct testing, etc
Oversee end-to-end payroll system processes, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll for all employees, including multi-state and union payrolls
Lead the implementation and optimization of payroll technology solutions (e.g., UKG, Passport, Oracle HCM, or HCSS), collaborating with IT, HR, and Payroll Operations to enhance automation, user experience, and regulatory compliance
Analyze payroll data and system performance to identify process improvements, troubleshoot complex payroll issues, and ensure alignment with evolving tax, garnishment, and reporting requirements
Provide support, develop, and conduct training to the end-users in the use of our financial and project systems
Partner with ITS, HR, Payroll Operations, and end-users to resolve any system issues quickly and efficiently
Draft requirements documents and develop test scripts
Lead in the analysis and recommendations for system enhancements to improve the efficiency of the finance, payroll, HR, and project teams
Effectively work and build relationships across the organization to achieve goals and objectives
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HRIS, Management Information Systems, or equivalent degree. If no degree, must have minimum of 5 years of experience doing similar work
Advanced Excel skills
Strong problem solving skills
Knowledge of Oracle HCM, UKG, Passport, HCSS, or other Payroll/time-keeping system
Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
Preferred
Oracle ERP experience preferred
