CEE Sovereign Analyst

Responsibilities

Perform qualitative and quantitative research to analyze sovereign debt markets and sovereign macro fundamentals
Deep knowledge of macroeconomics, political economy, and markets in the CEE region, including the newer member states of the EU, Turkey, and the countries of the former Soviet Union
Make clear forward-looking investment recommendations in sovereign debt markets, including local rates, currencies, and hard currency bonds
Provide relative value investment recommendations
Communicate effectively with internal and external clients about markets and their macroeconomic, policy, political and geopolitical drivers

Required

Deep knowledge of macroeconomics, political economy, and markets in the CEE region, including the newer member states of the EU, Turkey, and the countries of the former Soviet Union
A minimum of 5 years of relevant and direct experience within sell-side, buy-side, or related
English language fluency (verbal and written)
Motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated experience collaborating across functions and teams
Perform qualitative and quantitative research to analyze sovereign debt markets and sovereign macro fundamentals
Make clear forward-looking investment recommendations in sovereign debt markets, including local rates, currencies, and hard currency bonds
Provide relative value investment recommendations
Communicate effectively with internal and external clients about markets and their macroeconomic, policy, political and geopolitical drivers

Preferred

Advanced degree in economics, international public policy, or related
Some experience working at a relevant policy institution (Central bank, IMF, World Bank, IADB, etc.)
