They are seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern to support projects related to ground-based mobile satellite communication systems and antenna manufacturing under the supervision of a senior engineer.

Responsibilities

Assist in research, design, modify, develop and evaluate systems, products, components, and applications by applying fundamental electrical engineering principles
Apply electrical engineering principles in areas of RF, power, AC/DC circuit, communications, and software
Validate vendor equipment performance and capabilities by developing testing methods, performing tests, and documenting test results
Support senior engineers with final system performance through execution of test procedures and data analysis
Troubleshoot and resolve systems for satellite/radio frequency communications and power distribution
May perform site surveys and field installations with project teams
Communicate and collaborate with other engineering disciplines, manufacturing personnel, management, vendors, customers, and subcontractors
Support engineering documentation, i.e., drawings, project specifications, procedures, test data and results
Abide by company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks
Must hold a valid driver’s license and have the ability to obtain a US DOD security clearance

Required

Must be a U.S. citizen with valid documentation
Must be currently enrolled at an ABET accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering
Must hold a valid driver's license and have the ability to obtain a US DOD security clearance

Preferred

Basic knowledge of RF systems
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00
Able to work up to 40 hours per week during the internship program
