InternTalen Energy is seeking an Intern for the Summer of 2026 in their IT Infrastructure & Operations team. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to real production environments and contribute to initiatives that improve service reliability, security, and operational maturity.

Responsibilities
Daily review and triage of IT incident and service request tickets (network, connectivity, access, and infrastructure services)
Supporting monitoring and alerting improvements to proactively identify infrastructure issues
Assisting with evaluation of work requests, coordination with internal teams and vendors, and scheduling of work
Supporting infrastructure projects ranging from small enhancements to larger modernization efforts
Ensuring hardware, software, and platforms remain within supported and secure standards
Conducting data quality reviews related to identity, access, or contact information used by IT systems
Producing concise findings and recommendations that consider governance, automation, and operational impact
Assisting with the development of AI-assisted IT knowledge articles and FAQs to improve self-service
Using AI tools to analyze trends, draft technical content, and improve knowledge base searchability
Identifying common IT issues deploying Servers Network Router/Switches and Firewalls
Exploring opportunities for automated detection of recurring infrastructure or application issues
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university
Must be a rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline
Enrolled full-time with a minimum of 12 semester hours
Maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Eligible to work in the U.S. in accordance with BCIS guidelines
Able to provide an official student transcript and any other required documentation
Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with others
Demonstrated leadership potential through academic, extracurricular, or community involvement
Internship eligibility ends upon graduation from the academic program
Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Basic understanding of NIST CSF, SOX, risk management, and cybersecurity principles
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in virtual and in-person environments
