Responsibilities
Work independently on large projects and/or assist electrical and civil engineers as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Manage electrical designs, prepare reports, develop plans, prepare specifications, and cost estimates for various water and wastewater infrastructure projects, permitting and alternative analysis
Prepare, coordinate, and monitor projects from initial conception to final completion
Monitor compliance of project to ensure industry codes and practices are adhered to and performance standards met
Work in a team environment with the work involving studies, detailed design and engineering services during construction
Give direction to a team to complete design tasks and elements
Ability to read and understand SLDs, P&IDs and control schematics is a plus
Knowledge of NFPA 101 and NFPA 820
Experience in managing construction shop drawing reviews, request for information (RFI) field inspection, start-up and commissioning
Experience managing and interpreting power system coordination studies
Manage the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, instrumentation, and automation
Qualification
Required
Business or Electrical Engineering Degree
Proven experience in electrical project management, with a focus on wastewater treatment plants or similar industrial facilities
Strong knowledge of project management principles, electrical codes, and standards
Experience with and understanding of construction-related engineering services with the ability to manage Shop Drawing Review process, and management of RFIs and Engineer's Directives, etc
Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software capabilities
Preferred
Demonstrated experience working and managing projects in the field of Water and Wastewater
