The Inspector is responsible for performing quality inspections on incoming materials and components, as well as monitoring product quality during the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

Responsibilities
Inspect incoming raw materials, components, and assemblies against purchase order specifications, drawings, and quality standards
Verify supplier documentation, including Certificates of Conformance and material certifications
Perform optical filter checks using spectrophotometer devices to validate transmission and wavelength specifications
Record inspection results and maintain accurate documentation in the quality system
Identify and segregate non-conforming materials; initiate and document DMRs (Defective Material Reports)
Perform inspections at designated stages of the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with specifications and work instructions
Verify critical dimensions, functional characteristics, and visual quality using appropriate tools and gauges
Support production teams by providing feedback on quality issues and assisting with corrective actions
Document inspection results and maintain traceability of inspected parts
Maintain calibration and proper use of inspection tools and equipment
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection processes and product quality
Communicate effectively with production and engineering teams regarding quality concerns
Perform Operational QC for optical sensors and machine shop parts, including checking documentation according to EN 10204 and ASTM standards
Familiarity with handling explosion-proof materials
Qualification
