Senior Staff Accountant

LHH is a growing, multi-entity organization seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support month-end close and general ledger activities. The role involves leading account reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany processes while ensuring accurate financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations and accruals to ensure accuracy and completeness of the GL
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and variance analysis
Execute and reconcile monthly intercompany payables and receivables; investigate and resolve discrepancies; ensure proper eliminations
Generate monthly AP and AR aging reports; partner with AP/AR to address delinquencies and credit/collections escalations as needed
Prepare monthly job costing summary reports; track weekly project costs and support PMs/operations with spend visibility and budget-to-actuals
Maintain documentation supporting reconciliations and close deliverables; adhere to internal controls and policy
Recommend and implement improvements that reduce cycle time, increase accuracy, and enhance cross-team visibility
Partner across GL, AP, AR, and Payroll; communicate status and risks to the Accounting Manager; support ad-hoc analysis as requested

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in AccountingAdvanced Excel proficiencyProgressive accounting experienceIntercompany transactions experienceConstruction industry accounting

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
2–4+ years of progressive accounting experience (GL focus preferred)
Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas)
Demonstrated experience preparing account reconciliations, accruals, and monthly close deliverables

Preferred

Construction industry accounting experience (job cost, multi-project)
Experience with intercompany transactions and multi-entity environments
