The Material/Planning Specialist Intern will focus on NPI Supply chain management, tracking inventory trends, and maintaining material quality while supporting logistical functions and material movement.

Responsibilities
Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the Engineering cycle
Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules
Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering
Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other Enterprise wide systems
Manage the MRP system, Eng. site & Offshore inventory and resources
Oversee the acquisition, distribution, allocation, delivery, and resource disposal
Direct availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished products
Analyze and coordinate logistical functions related to the organization’s assigned product(s)
Maintain and develop positive business relationships with a customer's key personnel involved in or directly relevant to a logistics activity
Plan, organize, and execute logistics support activities such as maintenance planning, repair analysis, and test equipment recommendations
Assign locations to build customer samples
Follow up with suppliers on orders
Procure materials for various locations
Follow up on purchase requests with buyers
Manage various databases
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or master's degree (Business, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, or Supply Chain Management)
Good problem-solving skills
Good communication skills
Ability to work with limited supervision
