Senior Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

Review of customer contracts, Statements of Work, Purchase Order Quality Clauses, drawings and specifications
Review and approval of quality requirements for Manufacturing Planning and Supplier Purchase Order
Participate in QMS process management
Drive improvement
Analyze data to develop metrics and trends
Assist with establishing Root Cause of failures and defects
Assist with completion of customer issued Corrective Action as well as issuance and follow up of Internal CAR’s
Use of technical drawings, specifications, manufacturing work instructions, inspection procedures, and configuration control of documents
Experience with Configuration Control Board (CCB), review of ECNs, drawings, source control specifications, test plans & report
Good working knowledge and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience with managing and performing audits, processes and practices associated with ISO 9001 Quality Management System
Investigation of non-conformances and continuous improvement techniques; e.g., RCCA, 8D, 5-Why, PFMEA
Effectively lead and manage the day-to-day performance and tasking of people by being a role model to others, monitoring progress on objectives and behaviors and coaching others for success
Making decisions independently related to quality issues
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
Quality engineering experience in an ISO-9001 environment
Experience in First Article Inspection (FAI)
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
Experience working in a union environment
