Responsibilities
This position will focus on payroll functions by processing the City’s payroll, including wage or salary increases, change of benefits and deductions, and prepare required reports, checks and direct deposit stubs
Additionally, this position will reconcile benefit billings, remit payments to appropriate agencies, as well as monitor leave balances
This position is also the lead subject matter expert for the City’s Payroll module
Qualification
Required
Education to the equivalent to the completion of two years of college level coursework in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related field
Two years of increasingly responsible clerical and technical accounting experience
Advanced Excel and database management skills
Previous experience in governmental accounting and payroll
