NSIP Post Bachelors Research Associate - Phys Detect Systems & Deploy
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is a world-class research institution focused on scientific research and technological solutions for national security. They are seeking a post-bachelor research associate to engage in research and development aimed at preventing terrorism and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, with a focus on physical detection systems.
Responsibilities
Perform research and development critical to prevent and counter terrorism and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction
Participate in cohort sessions starting in May or June 2026
Work in one of the following focus areas: Advanced Engineered Systems, Detection Physics, Disruptive Technology, Engineered Materials, Operational Readiness, Systems and Technology Integration
Qualification
Required
Candidates must have received a Bachelor's degree within the past 24 months or within the next 8 months from an accredited college or university
Minimum overall GPA of 3.3 required

Disciplines of interest: additive manufacturing, computational modeling, eLearning design and development, electrical engineering, electromagnetics, embedded systems, instructional design, law enforcement, material science, mechanical engineering, nuclear engineering, nuclear proliferation, nuclear security and risk analysis, project coordination, project management, physics, quantum information systems, radio frequency engineering, software engineering, systems engineering, training program management, and usability testing
