Responsibilities
Analyze work in the area, determine priorities, and sequence tasks based on customer requirements
Develop, update, and implement processes and procedures as required
Clean, set up, maintain, and perform minor repairs on specialized external tools per Boeing specifications and Hole Set-up Pre-Sheets (HPSS)
Clean and adjust sealing equipment to ensure proper functionality
Perform visual and functional checks on tools and accessories, inspecting for damage
Select, install, and adjust cutting tools, bushings, guides, and locators for powered hand tools, and load program information using precision measuring tools
Investigate and troubleshoot power tool problems to determine causes of malfunctions and recommend improvements
Receive tools, equipment, and supplies to support the shop, logging in receivables using various computer programs
Assist production in determining the correct power equipment for jobs and conduct necessary tests
Manage inventory of tools, shop supplies, and materials, auditing periodically for accuracy
Arrange for the loan of tools and equipment as required
Send power tools to the tool repair area for maintenance and repair of internal drive and feed mechanisms
Use and update various information systems to perform assigned tasks and maintain thorough inventory recording and control systems
Inspect the contents of toolboxes
Train and assist other employees with functions, methods, and procedures by sharing information and answering questions
Qualification
Required
1+ year of experience working with precision measuring tools
1+ year of experience working with powered hand tools
1+ years of experience as a machinist, mechanic or other mechanical aptitudes
1+ years of experience working with detailed work instructions or reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
1+ years of experience working with safety and quality processes and procedures
Experience working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Possess a valid driver's license
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a 'US Person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. 'US Person' includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
