Start in 2026 SummerAmerican Greetings is searching for a highly energetic, motivated, and creative individual to fill the role of a Product Design Intern with a focus on pop-up greeting cards and innovative new products. The internship will provide an opportunity to apply design and technical skills to real-world products and learn from a team of experienced paper engineers, designers, and artists.

Responsibilities
Developing concepts for new products
Planning and building pop-up focused cards for the Magic Moments and core product lines
Learning processes, systems, and tools
Applying design and technical skills to unique products and corporate initiatives
Qualification
Required
Must have plans to reside in Northeast Ohio for the Summer of 2026
There is no housing stipend associated with this internship
Must be able to work full time hours for the duration of the internship
Interest or experience in dimensional product design, packaging, or industrial design
Illustration and visual story telling skills
Possessing drawing, excellent design, color, and layout sense, with a strong creative problem-solving ability
Exhibit solid understanding of specific software processes and procedures to complete job functions within a department (e.g. working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office)
Works well in a team environment and approaches tasks with a positive, solution-oriented, and collaborative attitude
Strong communication skills
Innovative thinking and problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities and/or work experience
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to handle multiple projects at once as well as plan and prioritize work
Displays a professional and positive attitude with team members
Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
A minimum of 2 years of undergraduate course work in Graphic Design, 3D Art, Engineering Design, Industrial Design, or related field
Preferred
Minimum of two years of undergraduate course work is preferred
Relevant 3D Software and AutoCad background are both a plus
