Responsibilities
Lead roadway/highway analysis and design, including plan production, specifications, reports, estimates, and quantity development for FDOT and CFX projects
Manage and coordinate multi-discipline teams (drainage, traffic/ITS, structures, utilities, survey, permitting) and subconsultants
Monitor and manage budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and deliverables to meet project commitments
Provide quality control oversight to ensure compliance with FDOT/CFX standards and internal QA/QC procedures
Support and/or lead marketing, capture planning, proposal strategy, and presentations for FDOT and CFX pursuits
Mentor and develop engineers and designers; support recruiting and team growth in Central Florida
Qualification
Required
Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
Minimum 15 years of roadway/highway engineering experience is required
Direct FDOT and CFX experience is required (project delivery and client coordination)
Experience managing conventional and design-build projects involving intersections, arterials, interstates, and interchanges
Working knowledge of Bentley/MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer workflows
Excellent communication skills and proven ability to lead multi-discipline coordination and deliverable management
Preferred
Established FDOT and CFX relationships and a track record supporting project pursuits and capture
Experience as Engineer of Record and/or lead reviewer on limited access highways, tolled expressways, and complex interchange designs
Experience with FDOT District-wide, on-call, or continuing services contracts
Demonstrated success leading a team and helping grow a practice in a competitive market
