Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Director of Clinical Trials Operations who will be responsible for the development, implementation, and leadership of clinical trial operations. This role involves strategic partnership with physician leadership and managing relationships with trial sponsors, while leading efforts to improve quality and performance in clinical trials.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the development, implementation and leadership of personnel, infrastructure, and financial management for one or more Clinical Trial Area in a compliant, effective, and efficient manner
Provides leadership and strategic partnership to physician leadership in trial portfolio and pipeline management, which includes relationships with trial sponsors (Pharm and Biotech Companies)
Leads problem solving and improvement efforts, including the incorporation of new technology and approaches that improve quality and performance in clinical trials operations

Required

Bachelor's Degree Medical/Scientific or Business
Eight (8) years of progressive experience and responsibility in executing multidisciplinary clinical research, inclusive of five (5) years management/leadership experience in a clinical research/academic setting
Ability to apply knowledge of regulations that govern clinical research
Knowledge of NCI designated cancer centers or equivalent large specialized academic institutions
Current knowledge of best practices in clinical research, including active participation in national organizations, such as the AACI CRI, SOCRA, or ACRP
Proficient business software skills including Microsoft Office
Proficient with clinical trials management systems (CTMS)
Demonstrated well-developed project management and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated experience in personnel management and professional development
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
