BUSINESS PLANNING ANALYST 4
HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding division is the largest industrial employer in Virginia, specializing in the design and construction of U.S. Navy nuclear aircraft carriers and submarines. The Business Planning Analyst 4 will be responsible for planning organizational activities, developing budget status information, and translating customer requirements into organizational plans.

Programs planning efforts of an organizations activities
Develops information on budget status, workforce level, equipment availability, and other company capabilities
Determines customer requirements and translates these requirements into organizational plans
This position is intended for the Labor Resource Planning Office (X52)
The LRP Office is responsible for Labor and Resource Planning across NNS providing support to all areas of the business
This position will work in an Oracle Hyperion application, Access Databases, and Excel daily
This role relies heavily on critical thinking and analysis skills to properly plan both Labor and Resources for the future with the knowledge of historical trends
Candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills and be detail oriented
Experience working with databases preferred but not required
Training will be provided
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 8 year of relevant professional experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: NNS Apprentice School graduate, Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate, Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience, Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience, High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience, High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
Good written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented
Experience working with databases preferred but not required. Training will be provided
