Responsibilities

Review and assess existing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and application environments

Identify gaps, risks, and improvement areas in architecture, performance, security, and cost

Recommend and implement Oracle Cloud best practices and reference architectures

Design and optimize OCI environments including networking, compute, storage, IAM, and security

Define environment standards, guardrails, and governance models

Ensure compliance with Oracle-recommended security and operational best practices

Oversee deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of Oracle Cloud Applications

Monitor application performance, availability, and reliability

Troubleshoot complex cloud and application issues and drive root-cause resolution

Optimize workloads for performance, scalability, and high availability

Implement cost optimization strategies (capacity planning, right-sizing, usage monitoring)

Establish monitoring, alerting, and operational dashboards

Act as a trusted advisor to engineering, infrastructure, and business stakeholders

Translate business requirements into technical cloud solutions

Provide guidance, documentation, and knowledge transfer to internal teams

Required

8+ years of experience in enterprise IT, cloud, or application management

4+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

Strong experience managing Oracle Cloud Applications (ERP, HCM, SCM, or related platforms)

Deep understanding of OCI core services: Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM, Security Zones, Logging & Monitoring

Proven experience designing and optimizing cloud environments at scale

Preferred

Oracle Cloud certifications (OCI Architect, OCI Operations, or Application certifications)

Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments

Strong background in cloud security, governance, and compliance

Experience with automation, IaC (Terraform), and CI/CD pipelines

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
