Responsibilities
Design layouts, models, and drafts of equipment as required by the Engineering team or shop personnel
Maintain configuration control of project data, designs and other Technical Data Package elements
Assist in research, selection and application of components and methods to develop the design concept
Provide input in design reviews and brainstorming in support of the project
Order project materials and components required
Develop new designs utilizing efficient manufacturing processes and cost effectiveness when feasible
Make proper material selections, assembly and welding procedures throughout the design
Assist with fabrication, assembly, testing and installation of equipment to validate design
Review and implement redline revisions to ensure changes are incorporated
Work within project schedules and provide feedback on progress and any issues that may arise requiring corrective action to be taken

Qualification
Required
Minimum 7 years academic and/or work experience in mechanical design
Aptitude test 2D and 3D software, preferably AutoCAD and Solid Edge
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong written and oral communication skills in English
Experience with Bill of Materials structure
Ability to perform in a collaborative design environment
Strong mechanical analysis and critical thinking skills
Must have a valid US passport or the ability to get one
Preferred
Associate degree in engineering or CAD
