Responsibilities
Capable of working on all types of valves; gate, globe, knife, and butterfly
Capable of removing and replacing / disassembly and reassembly
Capable of cleaning and sandblasting valve parts prior to overhauling
Capable of reseating and lapping valve seats and valve discs
Capable of machining valve discs as well as valve parts
Remove and replace all types of packing, seal rings and seals
Operate basic hand tools, welders, torches
Operate and interpret precision measuring tools as needed to perform associated work
Capable of operating torque wrenches
Rigging qualified
Print reading skills
Writing Skills
Basic computer skills
Skilled in technical communication
Follow DISTRICT Lockout/Tagout Procedures
Qualification
Required
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in valve repair and testing
Capable of working on all types of valves; gate, globe, knife, and butterfly
Capable of removing and replacing / disassembly and reassembly
Capable of cleaning and sandblasting valve parts prior to overhauling
Capable of reseating and lapping valve seats and valve discs
Capable of machining valve discs as well as valve parts
Remove and replace all types of packing, seal rings and seals
Operate basic hand tools, welders, torches

Follow DISTRICT Lockout/Tagout Procedures
All craft are required to have OSHA 10 prior to arriving on site
Occasional lifting of items weighting a maximum of 50 pounds
Ability to climb stairwells up to 15 levels high
Ability to ascend and descend ladders (step, extension, cage) up to 24' high
Able to walk at a normal pace for up to 15 continuous minutes
Able to work from a standing position for 8-12 hours
Ability to twist and bend on a recurring basis
Normal visual acuity, field vision, hearing, speaking, color perception, sense of smell, depth perception, and texture perception
Ability to work in weather conditions that can be expected are wet, humid, heat and cold, bright/dim light, traffic, heights, dusts, and pollen
Some environments are in a high noise and vibrating area
Benefits
Per Diem
$178/paid 7 days (except 1 st and last week of work – paid days worked). Permanent address must be greater than 50 miles using shortest distance calculation.
Completion Bonus (outage Only)
$3.00/ST and 4.50/OT to base rate.
