Responsibilities
Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the design system
Create, maintain, and scale component libraries, design tokens, interaction patterns, and accessibility standards
Partner closely with Engineering to drive adoption, alignment, and implementation quality
Build workflows that improve designer–developer collaboration, including Figma libraries, documentation, and QA checks
Establish best practices for documentation, guidelines, and cross-team collaboration
Continuously raise the bar for design craft, usability, and execution quality
Contribute to zero-to-one feature development within AI-native workflows
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in product design, design systems, or UI/front-end focused roles
Strong experience designing B2B SaaS web applications
Proven track record building or scaling design systems in production environments
Deep expertise in Figma, including component libraries, tokens, variants, and systematic file organisation
Strong understanding of engineering trade-offs and implementation constraints
Experience working directly with engineers in product-first teams
Comfort operating in fast-paced, high-ownership environments
Clear communication and documentation skills
A portfolio demonstrating scalable systems, high-quality UI, and strong design rationale
Preferred
Experience designing AI-native products or AI-powered features
Legal tech or other highly regulated industry experience
Hands-on experimentation with AI tools and workflows
